Test Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for both manual and automated testing.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and provide feedback on quality issues.
• Identify areas suitable for automation and provide input into the selection of test cases for automation
• Test Planning and Strategy: Contribute to creating and maintaining the overall test strategy and test plans using tools such as Selenium, or similar.
• Test Execution: Execute automated test scripts and analyze results to identify defects, ensuring the software meets quality standards
• Defect Reporting and Documentation: Document and track defects, providing detailed information for developers to reproduce and resolve issues
• Conduct performance and stress testing to ensure the stability and responsiveness of applications.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of test scripts, test data, and test results.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies related to software testing and quality assurance.
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback from a testing perspective.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience in software quality assurance, including both manual and automation testing.
• Proficiency with automated testing tools such as Selenium, Pytest, or similar.
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or similar.
• Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing life cycle (STLC).
• Experience with bug tracking tools such as JIRA and Git.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
